This old area of PV has hundreds of small businesses and services that are still popular with people living here. The three storey house is separated into 4 light and breezy apartments. We rent the 2 apts. on the middle floor for long term rentals (4 months or longer) rent the ground floor apt. for a short term rental and live in the penthouse."WE" are a husband & wife living in PV since 1998. At the secure, gated entrance, there is a pleasant shady tiled patio area with table, chairs, hammock and fountain for everyone s use surrounded by tropical plants and trees. The neighbourhood is VERY friendly and safe. Most everyone on our street owns their own home. Family oriented with plenty of opportunities to meet the locals. The street we live on is a mix of residential with various businesses. The one bus, LOPEZ RUTA B stops outside the front gate. It will take you to Zona Romantica. A 24 hr. taxi station is a 2 min. walk from the house. Multiple services and shops in the area such as laundry (wash, dry & fold service), 7 internet cafes , 3 hospitals, 3 schools, Video/DVD rentals, daycare centre, Los Mangos Library, nightclubs, bars, 24 hour Pharmacy, 24 hour Doctor and clinic, Schools, Su Carne, Fruiterias, Several street taco stands, Restaurants, clothing boutiques, Beauty Parlours, several corner stores, even a small tortilla factory most of this on our street. Donkeys and goats are often seen walking along the cobbled streets in this area. Lots of roosters too; As I said, it's a "typical" Mexican neighbourhood. This is the REAL PV. It is not a tourist area, therefore you do not pay tourist prices. Next door is Que Ques Mariscos (seafood restaurant) very popular. A local Saturday Tianguis market is set up at the end of the street from early morning until dusk. Not a typical tourist market but you will be very welcome to explore their wares. It sells everything from live chickens to clothing to CD's DVDs to food, fresh fruit/vegetables, to household items. There is virtually every kind of store, shop and service within a very short walking distance from the house. Cinema Versalles on Fransisco Villa is a 5 min. walk. We are also very close to the two new cinemas, Cinepolis & Cinemark as well as the new M&M in Plaza Galerias, the new upscale shopping mall. We are a short walk from the superstore Mega, Gigante supermarket/Plaza Caracol shopping mall and Soriana. A short walk to the Hotel Zone beaches. Less than a 30 min. walk to the malecon. The Vallarta sport stadium is a 4 min. jog. The location is Centro. We are about the same distance from Old town as we are to the Marina area and the town of Pitillal. We own the large, flat land next door, which is currently used as a double garage for our vehicles. Private parking for your vehicle is available free of charge.
This artistically decorated large 2 bed. 2 bath. apt. has a private patio just for your own use. It has a glass top table, wrought iron chairs, hammock, small Bar. B. Q. fountain and plenty of shade from the palm, lemon and banana trees. The apartment comes with all the comforts of home. It is my home when i am not renting it out. Cable TV, DVD, VCR, Movies, CD s, Stereo, wireless internet access, Microwave oven, Fridge/freezer etc. Comes with all bedding, dishes, everything you will need.
It is also affordable.
$80 USD/night (minimum 2 nights) or $500 USD/week. At certain times of the year i can rent this apt. for $750 USD/low season and $1,200 USD/high season. Long term (6 months or longer) available after April. 2009.
A standard (monthly rental) damage deposit is required. Rates include all taxes and utilities.
